OF RYAN CHURCH hit a solo homer with one out in the top of the 11th inning to lift the Aeros to a 12-11 victory over Harrisburg after the Senators scored five times in the ninth to tie August 23. Following a popout by 1B LUIS GONZALEZ to start the 11th, Church, one of five players to hit a home run for Akron, snapped an 11-11 tie with a blast to center. Gonzalez hit a pair of two-run homers and scored after legging out a triple in the seventh. OF GRADY SIZEMORE clubbed a three-run shot, OF NATE GRINDELL hit a solo homer and an RBI single and 3B COREY SMITH slugged a solo blast for the Aeros, who led 7-0 after four innings and 10-2 after batting in the top half of the eighth...

Wickman struck out the side in order in the first inning in his second start recovering from Tommy John surgery. SS OMAR VIZQUEL also appeared in the game but was hitless in four at-bats. The nine-time American League Gold Glove winner, returning from knee surgery, went just 1-for-14 in four games with the club...

The Captains won their 10th straight game, a 5-1 decision over Delmarva August 23, behind six strong innings by RHP FAUSTO CARMONA. Carmona, who allowed a run and three hits, has recorded a win in each of his last eight starts with the club. The 19-year-old, who also struck out three and issued a walk, has yielded just 11 runs and 35 hits over his last 51 2/3 innings. He has also allowed just one earned run in four of his last five starts at home. On the season, Carmona improved his league-best record to 17-3 with a circuit-best 1.83 ERA....
