COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio State point guard James "Scoonie" Penn, who has helped carry the Buckeyes to the Final Four, says he will return for his senior season instead of making himself available for the NBA draft.

"I'm thinking next year about coming back here and playing at Ohio State," Penn said during team interviews on Tuesday. "The NBA has been a dream of mine. But right now, I have no thoughts about leaving college basketball at all."

Penn, chosen as a player of the year in the Big Ten, is Ohio State's second-leading scorer at 17 points a game.

Asked if he would change his mind if he were told he'd be taken in the first round, he said, "I don't believe everything I hear."
