HARTFORD, Connecticut (Ticker) -- Shea Ralph scored 17 points and Svetlana Abrosimova added 15 and 11 rebounds as top-ranked Connecticut survived a scare from Kentucky but advanced to the Coaches vs. Cancer championship game with a 68-62 triumph.

Connecticut (2-0) outscored Kentucky 37-27 in the second half and shot 48 percent (13-of-27) during that span, earning a date with No. 16 Old Dominion in Friday's title game.

Sue Bird added 10 points as the Huskies shot only 38 percent (22-of-58) from the floor. Abrosimova was just 4-of-12 from the field while Ralph shot 4-of-9.

Kentucky (2-1), one of eight teams in the Southeastern Conference to play in last season's NCAA Tournament, led 35-31 at halftime thanks to 54 percent shooting (15-of-28). But the Wildcats shot only 38 percent (12-of-32) over the final 20 minutes.

Erica Jackson scored 18 points while Tiffany Wait and Rita Adams added 11 apiece for the Wildcats. Shanita Adams grabbed ten rebounds for Kentucky.
