WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana (Ticker) -- Camille Cooper scored five of her 19 points in a decisive 9-0 run in the second half as 16th-ranked Purdue surprised No. 6 Notre Dame, 71-61.
Katie Douglas led Purdue (6-1) with 21 points and Kelly Komara added 16 points, six rebounds and four assists.
Michelle Duhart's jumper just past the midpoint of the second half put the Boilermakers ahead for good, 50-48. Douglas made two free throws before Cooper hit a jumper and converted a three-point play, giving Purdue a 57-48 lead with 6:33 remaining.
Notre Dame (4-2) got no closer than seven points thereafter and had a three-game winning streak stopped.
Niele Ivey scored 17 points but committed seven turnovers for the Fighting Irish, who fell to 1-2 on the road. Ruth Riley had 11 points and eight rebounds and Ericka Haney chipped in 10 points off the bench before fouling out.
