SOUTH BEND, Indiana (Ticker) -- No. 8 Notre Dame overcame a sloppy effort to defeat Southern California, 74-59, as Alicia Ratay scored nine of her 19 points during a 26-7 second-half run.
Notre Dame (7-2) commited 30 turnovers but won its third straight game and improved to 4-0 at home this season.
The Fighting Irish led only 40-38 early in the second half, but outscored USC (5-4) 26-7 in an 8:05 span. Ratay sank a trio of 3-pointers in the run.
Ratay was the only Notre Dame player to attempt a 3-pointer, going 4-of-5. Ruth Riley added 12 points and Danielle Green 11 off the bench for the Irish, who shot 53 percent (29-of-55) overall.
Danielle Golay scored 16 points and Tashara Carter and Erica Mashia added 10 apiece for the Women of Troy, who shot just 34 percent (23-of-67).
