DURHAM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Georgia Schweitzer scored 18 points and Peppi Browne added 17 as 11th-ranked Duke overcame a nine-point first-half deficit for its 11th straight win, 65-55 over Georgetown.
Schweitzer had the last four points during a 12-2 burst that gave Duke (12-1) a 20-19 lead with 2:31 left in the first half. A driving layup by Browne with 10 seconds to play put the Blue Devils ahead, 24-23, at halftime.
Duke never trailed thereafter, opening the second half with a 13-2 burst. Georgetown (7-4) got no closer than 10 points and trailed by as many as 24.
Lauren Rice chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds for the Blue Devils, who shot 39 percent (22-of-56) but forced 21 turnovers and had a 39-32 rebounding advantage.
Katie Smrcka-Duffy had 14 points and eight rebounds and Nok Duany scored 12 points for the Hoyas, who had a four-game winning streak stopped.
