RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Terah Lewis scored 18 points and Tynesha Lewis added 14 to reach the 1,000-point mark as fourth-ranked North Carolina State continued the best start in school history with a 69-55 victory over South Carolina.

Lewis made 7-of-12 shots to lead a big effort by the Wolfpack frontcourt. Summer Erb chipped in 15 points and 13 rebounds before fouling out as North Carolina State recorded 18 second-chance points to six for South Carolina.

Monica Bates had 10 points and Kaayla Chones 10 boards for the Wolfpack (11-0), who shot 43 percent (26-of-60) from the field and had a 45-37 rebounding edge.

North Carolina State, which plays three of its next four games on the road, begins its Atlantic Coast Conference schedule Monday at No. 10 North Carolina.

Shaunzinski Gortman led all scorers with 19 points for the Lady Gamecocks (8-3), who had a four-game winning streak snapped.
