POSITIVES: Talented safety coming off a poor senior campaign. Displays an excellent head for the ball, quickly diagnoses the action, and takes good angles to the play. Runs well with receivers over the middle, possesses a burst of closing speed, and flies around the action. Works to make positive plays. Aggressive in run defense and forceful up the field on the blitz.

NEGATIVES: Marginal ball skills and struggles in man coverage. Lacks recovery speed and does not time well in the 40.

ANALYSIS: Horton is a hard-working prospect who does the little things well. He did not improve last season as expected, yet he has enough skill, intelligence, and intensity to be used in a zone system at the next level.
