Backup quarterback Steve Campbell threw for a touchdown and Mike Martin ran for 169 yards and a score as Arizona State picked up its first postseason win in 10 years, a 17-7 victory over Iowa in the Sun Bowl at El Paso, Texas.

Iowa RB Tavian Banks (6.7 yards a carry, 17 rushing TDs) had better numbers than Wisconsin's Ron Dayne or Penn State's Curtis Enis. Arizona State RB J.R. Redmond averages 6.1 yards a carry, and LB Pat Tillman -- the Pac-10's Defensive Player of the Year -- had 93 tackles (15 for loss) and four sacks

In the injury-to-insult department, ASU QB Ryan Kealy blew out his knee in the loss to Arizona, further hampering the Sun Devils' passing game. This sets up as a match between the best running game in the pass-happy Pac-10 (193.8 yards a game) and the best running team in the run-happy Big Ten (235 yards a game. It's the first meeting between the two schools.

The Hawkeyes had four losses, but three of them were by a total of eight points.
