Okla. State QB faces new charge Posted: Saturday January 29, 2000 05:47 PM
STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- Another felony charge has been filed against a suspended Oklahoma State University football player who was allegedly found with three-fourths of a pound of marijuana. Payne County prosecutors Friday filed a charge of knowingly concealing stolen property against B.J. Tiger, alleging the 21-year-old backup quarterback had at least three compact discs that belonged to another person in his possession. Tiger was arraigned Tuesday for marijuana and paraphernalia possession and is out on $9,500 bail. District Attorney Rob Hudson said his arraignment on the stolen property charge will take place at his next court appearance on Feb. 14. Tiger also has to appear before District Judge Robert Murphy for two previous charges for which he had received a deferred sentence. Tiger was arrested Monday evening after OSU police searched his dorm room, acting on a tip he possessed some stolen CDs. Tiger allegedly grabbed a lockbox and ran while authorities were searching the room. Police caught him and reportedly discovered the marijuana in the box.
