Peter Warrick 1-on-1 Bengals receiver isn't worried about adjusting to losing

Former Florida State wide receiver Peter Warrick was chosen by the Cincinnati Bengals at No. 4 in this year's NFL Draft. CNNSI.com's Mark Morgan caught up with Warrick after he was selected on Saturday. Mark Morgan: First of all, just what are your thought on getting drafted fourth? You end your college season with a national championship, then a lot people thought you were a lock for No. 1. You fell a little bit, are you disappointed you weren't No. 1? Peter Warrick: No, I'm not disappointed. My dream was to be in the NFL, and I'm in the NFL right now. I'm just taking it one day at a time and thanking God for everything that has happened to me. Morgan: When you had your tryouts with various NFL teams, one of the first things that they try to do is to find weaknesses with everybody. They said your time in the 40 was not what it should be. How did you convince the Bengals otherwise to say, "Hey, I'm still an explosive player"? Warrick: I didn't have to convince them. They watched film and they know what I do on the football field, and that's all that matters. Morgan: With some of your off-the-field problems, did the teams ask about that as you made your rounds talking to various teams? And what did you tell them? Warrick: Most every team came to me and asked me about the trouble that I got into, but I told them what happened, and that it's all behind me. It made me more mature, it made me more of a man, and it's time for me to take a step forward in my life and stop worrying about what happened. Morgan: You came from one of the winningest college football programs in the country, but you are going to a team that has struggled for more than a decade. How will you adjust to the possibility of losing a lot more games in the pros that you did in college? Warrick: It's not the team that you go to, it's what you do. That's the type of person that I am. If we start losing, I'm not going to gripe and moan. That's all a part of playing football. Morgan: Good luck. I appreciate your time. Warrick: Alright.
