George leads Vikings to 27-10 win, his first playoff victory
It took a decade, but Jeff George finally won a playoff game. The strong-armed quarterback with the checkered past tossed three touchdowns passes, including a 58-yarder to Randy Moss, and the Minnesota Vikings rolled to a 27-10 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Sunday's NFC wild-card game. Robert Smith had 140 yards rushing for the Vikings, who sent the Cowboys to their third straight loss in the playoffs. In the AFC wild-card game, the Miami Dolphins upset the Seattle Seahawks 20-17, giving Dan Marino at least one more game in a Dolphins uniform.
