EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- The New York Giants will play their first game of the regular season without cornerback Jason Sehorn.

The team listed Sehorn's status as week-to-week after an MRI on Thursday showed a continued strain in his left hamstring.

The six-year veteran missed all of last season with a major knee injury he got while returning a kickoff against the Jets last August.

Sehorn had two previous MRIs on his hamstring. Neither found major problems, but continued to show swelling and a little blood near the sciatic nerve.

Sehorn had 11 interceptions combined for the '96 and '97 seasons.
