ATLANTA (CNN/SI) -- Jim Miller, the little-known No. 3 quarterback of the Chicago Bears, was a losing quarterback Sunday. However, he was a top performer in Week 10, passing for 422 yards and three touchdowns in the Bears' heart-stopping 27-24 overtime loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Miller became the first Bears quarterback to throw for 400 yards in 37 years. Bill Wade threw for 466 yards in a victory over Dallas on Nov. 18, 1962.

Too bad Miller couldn't help out his defensive secondary. Miller's counterpart, Minnesota's Jeff George, also turned in a big performance, passing for 374 yards and three touchdowns and getting the Vikings into position to win twice.

Speaking of going both ways, cornerback Charles Woodson played four downs as a wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders, and caught a pass for 14 yards.

The big-time pass catchers Sunday were Randy Moss and Cris Carter of the Vikings; Jacquez Green of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Michael Westbrook of the Washington Redskins. Moss grabbed 12 passes for 204 yards, and Carter snagged nine passes for 141 and three touchdowns. Green caught seven balls for 162 yards, and Westbrook managed another fine performance, with four catches for 152 yards and a touchdown.

On the ground, six ball-carriers rushed for more than 100 yards as the renaissance of the runners continued for the second consecutive week. Michael Pittman of the Arizona Cardinals debuts on the top performance list, with his 133 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries helping to spark the Cards 23-19 victory over the Detroit Lions.
