Dallas survives late rally, heads to N.J. to defend title
At first, it looked like it was going to be easy for Dallas, but this was Game 7 against a Colorado team looking for revenge. Ed Belfour and company survived a late rally and a shot that hit the post with eight seconds left to beat the Avs 3-2 Saturday night. The Stars knocked off the Avalanche for the second straight season in the Western Conference finals and will begin defense of the Stanley Cup title Tuesday night in New Jersey.
