Resident athlete at U.S. Olympic Training Center. Only the fourth female cyclist to win two gold medals in one Pan Am Games. Works as a lifeguard. Accomplishments: 1999 Pan American Games, first, individual pursuit, points race 1999 EDS World Cup of Cycling, first, individual pursuit, points race 1998 UCI World Track rankings, eighth 1998 World Track Cycling Championships, sixth, points race 1998 EDS National Track Cycling Championships, first, points race 1997 EDS National Championships, third, points race 1996 U.S. Olympic Trials, eighth, 500 meters track Currently: Veenstra just finished competing at the World Championships in Berlin, Germany where she placed sixth in the points race and eighth in the individual pursuit.
