What clothes have you seen people wearing lately?

Walking around the Olympic Park you see all kinds of clothes! I am so surprised by the huge number of people in the Park. Most of the time you can tell what country they are with because of the way they dress. They wear flags, paint their faces and wear their country's colors. Everybody dresses casual in Olympic Park, wearing their sneakers and jeans.

When you head downtown, it's another story. People are dressed-up a lot more. They wear a lot of tube-tops and hipsters pants with jean jackets. They also wear a lot of sandels. It's a clean New York. The people are so nice and the sightseeing is fantastic. I can't wait for my parents to get here on Tuesday so we can tour around Sydney.

Where have you been around Sydney?

I went to the Burwood Mall the other day. I took the train there with a USA teammate, James Carter (400m hurdles). There was a lot of good stores. It would be my favorite place to shop -- lots of trendy clothes. A lot of different styles than what they wear in the U.S. I will be going back there to buy a dress. James bought some speakers.

The malls here are very good. Very hip. Very trendy. The clothing is much less expensive than it is in the malls in America.

Friday night I went to the first night of Track and Field. Of course the USA has the best uniform! I liked the Bahamas uniform and China's uniform. Marion Jones looks good in the full body suit. It looks comfortable, but I prefer the briefs.

What's your schedule this week?

I run Friday. I am a bit nervous because I know I have to run this time. I want to do well. I am not sure who will be running, but if I run in the prelims or semi-finals and the U.S. wins gold, I will get a gold medal. That is one piece of jewelry I would love to bring home!

P.S. To my twin sister Lisa, hello! I can't wait to get back to Columbia and tell you all about the Olympics! Wait until you see the dress I am buying for you!

-- Miki
