Taffarel will tend goal for Turkish champions Galatasaray next season (AP)

ISTANBUL (Reuters) -- Turkish champions Galatasaray have agreed to terms to sign Brazilian international goalkeeper Taffarel, a club spokesman said on Thursday.

"We have reached an agreement in principle with Taffarel and, hopefully, if there are no injury problems, will sign a full transfer deal soon," spokesman Turgay Vardar said.

Vadar said the transfer fee for the 32-year-old Atletico Mineiro goalkeeper would be announced when the final contract was signed.
