IRINA SHAYK
"The idea was to create a kilim rug to represent the Turkey shoot. in L.A.
I found a beautiful turn-of-the century kilim, whose pattern influenced this
design. I wanted it to look like old, worn-out cutoff jeans, and for people to
really see the needlepoint. I also hiked up the bottom to bring out her
beautiful curvature."
JESSICA WHITE
"Jessica has the most delicious skin. This is an ancient mosaic tile
representing the Mediterranean. She's wearing real gold, gold leaf actually,
placed on her one by one. There are the purples, the rich greens, the
fluorescent reds, layers upon layers of it that mix beautifully with her divine
skin tone."
JULIE HENDERSON
"I painted Julie in tile designed to represent the ancient Mayan version of
the alphabet. Each tile symbolizes a word or a sound. As for the shape of the
suit, I saw a picture of Julie in last year's issue in which she's wearing a
cutoff T-shirt. She has beautifully curved natural breasts, which I wanted to
show off here."
