Let's Make A Deal—or Three

With surprisingly little rumbling around the March 15 trade deadline, here are the three swaps that—while unlikely to go down—make the most sense

TRADE 1 2 3

The Bucks trade 1 G-F Stephen Jackson to the Clippers for 2 F Ryan Gomes and 3 G Randy Foye. The mercurial Jackson has been a flop in Milwaukee, where he is shooting 35.7%, but his big-game experience would benefit callow L.A. in the postseason. The Bucks get two players who can help their playoff push.

The Spurs trade 1 F Richard Jefferson and 2 F-C DaJuan Blair to the Hornets for 3 C Emeka Okafor. San Antonio needs more size to make it out of the Western Conference. The 6'10" Okafor offers an upgrade over the effective but undersized Blair, who would give New Orleans a 6'7" bruiser to build around.

The Thunder trades 1 C Nazr Mohammed to the Celtics for 2 G Keyon Dooling and 3 C Greg Stiemsma. Oklahoma City has been searching for a veteran reserve playmaker since Jan. 8, when Eric Maynor went down with a season-ending right knee injury. Mohammed gives Boston a durable big man for the postseason.
