SOME MAY TURN OUT TO BE STARS IN 2012 AND SOME MAY BE SUPPLEMENTAL PARTS, BUT ALL CAN BE HAD FOR LESS THAN THEIR TRUE VALUE. PICK A FEW OF THESE SLUMBERING GIANTS ON DRAFT DAY AND SEE YOUR FANTASY TEAM COME TO LIFE.
1Jay CUTLER
BEARS QB
PUT ANY ill will toward Cutler aside and open your mind to a new season. The Bears have scrapped most of former offensive coordinator Mike Martz's operation and given Cutler a support staff. Newly acquired Brandon Marshall is the No. 1 receiver that Chicago has lacked, second-round pick Alshon Jeffery adds depth at wideout and Michael Bush brings balance to the offense. This isn't last year's Jay Cutler, but take advantage of last year's asking price.
2 Torrey SMITH
RAVENS WR
THERE WERE weeks last year Smith was every bit as dangerous as fellow rookie receivers Julio Jones and A.J. Green (both of whom will land much higher in 2012 fantasy drafts). Smith had two games of more than 150 yards and set team rookie records for catches and receiving yards—all despite playing with a sports hernia for much of the year. Fantasy owners can expect Smith to overtake Anquan Boldin as Joe Flacco's preferred target.
